Hers was that fast because she dropped it at the VAC which isn't far from the VO. Mailing adds a few extra days depending on the courier company and distance.

Hi Alwy, I think the duration between PPR and DM differs. Because there's an applicant on another Nairobi VO thread who reported that she received PPR on 22nd July 2015 and then received notification to collect PP on 2nd August 2015, so I believe it could be less than 2 months.

It's so inspiring to see you make the landing Mrs. Hassan. All the best in the new life. I'm still waiting, but really glad to hear from another Nairobi VO thread that many people have in the last week received updates from the VO. :)

@ ohcanada15 Yes, Express Entry does help in expediting the process between application received and the time it is transferred from Canada to Nairobi VO for background and security check. After that it seems to slow back down. Not sure why this happens.

I presume in your case then it could be the time you received your express entry number (a number starting with EPxxxxxxx or XEPxxxxxx) or the time your file was transferred to Nairobi visa office.
