    QUEBEC APPLICANTS LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE

Hello Friends, As many of you know - I recently attended the CSQ interview (feel free to ask me questions about the interview here or by PM) and I have been asked to submit TCFQ results. MY level, according to DELF is B2 and I have the certificate. My Husband is somewhat of a beginner (a1). He...

That is correct. Well, language tests seem to be important. In my case, I feel if we had both submitted IELTS and TCFQ tests, the interview would have been waived. So the bottom line is "SUBMIT TEST RESULTS for English and French". and I applied in August 2011 (old rules)

4glory, your words made me day! Thank you so much. God Bless. Seriously, I've been losing more sleep over this than my interview itself. Well, I just looked up dates in my city and registered. We have an exam is about 40 days from now. The other is 6 months away, so we chose this. I hear...

My exam is dated june 3 2011 and we sent the CSQ application only in september. I'm pretty sure the score is not more than 2 years old as of today.

Aren't there many other professions such as Database, system managers etc. None of these seem to be included for 2013. Computer programmers is just one part of the IT industry

Quebec CSQ Applicants in the USA

I had my interview in NY today, we have been given 6 months to submit TCF test results (SAD!). I will post my expereince soon. Unortunately, our case has been VERY unfair, since we had DELF test results and still we were not granted the CSQ.

I guess so, I am sure we did not have enough points and that's why we were called for the interview and not sent the CSQ directly. However what I don't understand is, why couldn't we be given the adaptibility points in the interview which would make us 63? I am sure we were 59/60. No, we did not...

signalmaker, Yes, DELF official results. We sent that with the application itself in 2011. I had taken the exam just before we sent our application in may 2011. For my husband(main applicant), we had not sent anything and had claimed level 1 in the application. We took DELF A1 results with us...

I would suggest, sit for the TCFQ or TEFQ. TCFQ is easier than TEFQ as TCFQ has no negative marking.

I'm sure we lacked points, but I don't understand the need for me to sit for the test again, its an expensive test! I understand that my husband needs the test scores And we are doing TCFQ, not TEFQ.

Right now, we have decided to submit TCFQ(not TEF since TEF is harder) scores. We have an exam about 1.5 months from now which sounds as good timing.

I'm even more nervous after reading your post now - 6 months is not enough for A2? you are right - our current total points are 59/60.

What do you mean by "in china most have this score"? Well, I think everyone has misunderstood my post. Let me clarify. Main applicant DELF A1 - needs TCF/TEF A2 Spouse DELF B2 - needs TCF/TEF B1/B2. The challenge here is A2 for my husband.

Well, my DELF is B2 which means I will most likely attain B2 in TCf/TEF too. My spouse is A1, so it might be hard for him to come up to A2 levels in that time. he gave us a written letter saying, once we submit scores, the CSQ will be mailed to us.
