i applied in Feb 2012, only got AIP + OWP on 06 Dec,2012. nothing else........still waiting for DM.. called CIC a few days ago, they said still doing background check~ if i cant hear from them after August, call again -.-

Overall, J.K. is a friendly person who takes opinions and suggestions, and i think he has the heart to do something. But the current system has lots of defects/ he explained why it takes so long for the process, cos for >50% of the time, staff have to spend on interview and investigate fraud...

finally i managed to raise some concerns we often have as applicants , to J. K. in our short meeting. I told him for inland applicants, they are asked not to leave the country but we did hear sad stories from time to time, when we have relatives or frds who suffer from serious illness and want...

why photos are needed again? do they need standard passport photos? (those who wont let u "smile"?:)

Is police certificate a required item for applying to become Canadian Citizen? I am a PR and hv gone through that police clearance stuff a few years ago when i got approved. do i hv to re-submit it again?!?!? what are the documents needed?
