Congrats on getting your AIP quite early back in feb. I have added you to timesheet. I have to admit your case seems quite odd in that you got AIP and AOR at same time? You would be the first to receive AOR and AIP same time. Plus your application have been submitted in Nov meanwhile the website says "working on Oct 8th application". I know the website cannot be reliable for timing of applications. Nonetheless congrats on getting your AIP in early Feb.

Would you mind if I ask if you have dependents outside the country or how long you've been married or met? I asked because all of these factors determine the length of your processing time somewhat. I called CIC this morning and they told me that background checks are ordered even before AIP to kill wait times

YES I DO HAVE AN INDEPENDENT OUTSIDE COUNTRY, BEFORE I SENT IN MY MEDICAL AND POLICE CLEARANCE I TRIED HAVING HIM DO HIS MEDICALS, BUT HIS MOM WONT LET HIM DO, BECAUSE AM PAYING CHILD SUPPORT AND SHE FEELS IF I TAKE THE CHILD OUT SHE WONT GET ANY CENT ANY MORE SO SHE DECIDED NOT TO HAVE HIM DO HIS MEDICALS EVEN THOUGH HE IS NOT AN ACCOMPANYING MEMBER, WHEN SENDING IN MY MEDICALS AND POLICE CLEARANCE I DID WRITE A LETTER TO CIC TELLING THEM THE SITUATION AND THEY RESPONDED BACK TO ME IN 2 WEEKS THAT I SHOULD SEND THEM AN EFFORT OF ME TRYING TO HAVE HIM DO HIS MEDICALS E.G, COULD BE REGISTERED MAIL OR TELEPHONE RECORDS,GOOD THING I SENT HER MAILS AND ALSO MADE LOTS OF CALLS TO HER,I PRINTED OUT MY PHONE RECORD AND THE REGISTERED MAIL COMMUNICATION WITH MY SON MOM SENT THEM TO CIC AND AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY RESPONDED BACK THAT I SHOULD SEND IN A STATUTORY DECLARATION SAYING THAT I WONT BE ABLE TO SPONSOR HIM AS A FAMILY MEMBER IN FUTURE , I DID THAT AND SEND IT TO THEM.I MUST THIS THEY RESPOND TO ME QUICKLY WHICH MAKES ME FEEL COMFORTABLE THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING ON WELL. It appears that since there is no medical for your child and a letter declaring that you are not going to sponsor your child, may have made the process go faster. Good luck in your case.

Just came back from my interview with my MP who assured us that not only a fax to the Ottawa would give us additional info on our application but also would nudge them into action on our file. But we have to wait until 2 weeks to hear something from the office. Anyway this is not to say that definitely they would start working on our file, its just a probability. I think am passed being anxious, am now sad and helpless. I strongly believe there are much more applicants getting AIP who applied in late October thru to December 2012. Just that we don't know who they are since its only a very small fraction of applicants who are part of this thread.

The applicant pool for October 2012 may be is huge but I don't see why we can't get our AIP or some kind of news. Another week dear Lord, and the wait continues..... I have already passed 8 months and approaching 9 months in waiting!!!!

I have an inland application and I am being sponsored by my husband. My application for PR was received on November 26, 2012. The sponsorship processing began on January 16, 2013 but nothing but "IN PROCESS" has shown in the status report. Anyone else have an application around my same time that HAS been processed?

no offence @screech. but i think we need to make somethings slide. Sometimes i can't b bothered to take off caps lock .i cud understand if mayb some words were in capital but clearly he was consistent through out.

The 3 months count is for the letter "snail mail" for your interview and is from the day you get the DM and is the Vancouver office who will issue it. What the CIC ppl told me is if you don't get the letter in 3 months then contact them again and they will contact vancouver office on your behalf, now I don't know how accurate is this since seems these ppl at the costumer service are trained to repeat always the same. you might get lucky an get the letter before. its hard to tell because it seems in this threat there's not many of us in VAncouver and I just now 2 more besides who got DM. Hope I got you less confused
