Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

^ I can relate. I'm currently on IEC too and it's going to expire early November. I put my application through but haven't got approval or anything yet coz the first step jumped up to 56 days. I can't renew my IEC because of my age. I hope you get your visa prior to it expiring. I'm wishing you...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

If you compare it to how its been the last few weeks 1 day increase is better than 3 or 4 which is what I think a lot of people were expecting it to be again. I wish it was back down to the 30 days it use to be but all we can do is wait for our turn.

    Job Requirement to apply OHIP

I don't think there is an income requirement for OHIP, when you read the requirements it states full time for a minimum of 6 mths. So as long as its full time employment that is sufficient. When I applied for OHIP under work permit, they never asked me to provide my income just a letter stating...

Health Insurance on IEC - Australians

I know for Ontario if you are on IEC you can apply for health coverage. 3 mth waiting period and you have to provide proof you have a full time job. I am not sure about other provinces. Link below for Ontario. http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/temp_foreign.aspx

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Just out of curiousity about the turn around times that are updated on a weekly basis now being 55 days too :( sigh.. Does that mean 55 days from when an application is received? at this rate I think our applications are going to be reviewed way outside these timelines and it maybe July/August...

Health Insurance on IEC - Australians

I was unable to find a place that would cover for 2 years too. So I purchased a 1 year travel insurance and my intention was to extend it after. I am currently on IEC. I was never asked to provide my insurance or proof of income when I got my permit (maybe I was lucky?), they gave me the 2 year...

Sponsoring Japanese spouse - certified copies

^ I recently sent my application. I'm hoping the certified true copy of the koseki is sufficient. I don't see why not because it was notarized and then I had a certified translator translate the document and they also had to sign on the certified copy to say it was translated off that document...

Sponsoring Japanese spouse - certified copies

I got my original document notarized, and by this I mean I went to a notary public with my original koseki and they photocopied it and stamped it to be a true copy of the original. They did not accept the copies I photocopied. Then I sent the notarized copy to a certified translator to...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I sent mine to the Po Box 3000 so I'm hoping they have my application. I'm just worried about putting another application forward if they misplaced it coz it will take me a whole to get everything together again. Now I regret not using the courier option.

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

For those who went an application this month, how did you guys send the application via registered mail, express or courier? I'm completely concerned as I requested my package to be signed on delivery. I used the tracking number and then it said delivered with no signature when I paid for...

Omg I'm getting nervous about the initial process of spousal sponsorship. I remember the days where it was 30 days and I've been checking every week now and it's gone from 40 days to 44 to 47... Does anyone know if processing times in Sydney have changed? I know a lot of you guys have been...

Anyone Visited Dr. Francis Li in Toronto recently?

I went to this clinic on Saturday and I obviously knew if I didn't go early enough there would be quite a wait. I was happy to wait too because I work during the week so Saturdays are convenient. I ended up leaving purely because the receptionist was rude and condescending not only to me but to...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

^ thanks for all the helpful information that was provided. Just another question...I know there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship, would it look bad on the application if my spouse is not working. He is studying at the moment and I work full time and earn income. If I provide my...
