Unfortunately, there have been some rejections recently on month 4 or even month 5... In my point of view, if you BG changes to in progress, you should be safe... Haven't heard of anyone getting rejection after their BG went to 'in progress'

No.. Just the name and address of the studio/photographer that took the picture, and the date on which they took the picture. No need for your name or date of birth Here's the link that has the instructions: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

Both pictures had this info on the back for myself and my dependents... I didn't want to take the risk.. I advise you to have the photographer/studio write the data on the back of all pictures.. Better safe than sorry :)

I think I too declared both passports, but if memory serves me right, there has to have been a primary one (just like with NOC code). In all cases, since you declared both passports, there's no harm in sending both photocopies. :)

If you're an outland applicant, immigration agents will not expect you to have pay stubs since you probably quit your job anyways to move to Canada. I think it only makes sense that they ask for paystubs if you were an inland applicant. For outland, pof is mandatory (e.g. Bank account, brokerage...

Congrats!! :) I had the same situation and I submitted the passport with which I initially applied to Express Entry. When you were creating your profile, you must have provided the passport info of one of both passports. You must submit that passport. Good luck!

I think it's PPR... why else would they ask for passport copies (from a visa-exempt country) if not to issue COPR? Hey nads1, can you share with us the exact wording of the message you got on CIC? of course delete any identifiers. Does it mention at all "your visa is ready" or "confirmation of...

about 3 or 4 months ago someone from a European country had the same issue.. he got PPR from Ottawa and then a few days later another PPR from his local VO... He sent some emails and i believe they told him to go with the local VO, and all worked fine... Not sure if you too have the same...

US residents, connect here and lets share ideas....

Yup.. I'd say 4-5 months for US residents... of course 10% will be fast trackers, and another 10% will get some delays, but I believe the remaining 80% will get PPR in 4-5 months

Haha yes I can handle you both, but no Turkish soaps plz!! Haha ??? ;D Yelena if you can cut it down to 2 pages that would be better. But if the 4 pages are easy to follow and concise then it shouldn't be a problem. Best of luck
