This morning the received line disappeared on my application. Also for my kid, it now says that they have started processing the application on May 1. So hopefully, things are now moving ahead smoothly. I have updated the spreadsheet also.

Not got the AOR yet and Received line is still there. Not sure whats happening.

By when should we start hearing from CIC or Ecas updated? Has anyone from December thread heard anything back? My application reached on Dec 23rd. I am assuming not hearing this far, means the application is complete?

I am not sure, what kind of advice can be given, when rules are intentionally not followed and then, you are depending on the chance that your application will get through without any RQ. Its injustice to those that are following the system and going by the rules..

Is there a form that is to be filled to get the CBSA entry records? I am unable to find it anywhere.

I think the SIN number is immediately given, the card comes in a week or so. OHIP card is sent after 3 months or so, since it is effective from then only.

Landed on January 3, 2011 and PR process is now complete. PR card will be mailed in 6-8 weeks. Now for SIN and OHIP. Thanks to all who provided guidance...this forum has been great..

I had used Hertz two years ago and drove to CT to Toronto to land. No issues at all. However, mine was a round trip.

Got the passport with the PR visa today. I will be doing the landing on January 2, 2011 on the way back into Canada from a vacation. So we are on the last step.

If you are the PR you need to be in Canada to sponsor. You can take the child on the fact that the child is a US citizen.
