    Expess Entry "apply"

Hiring a lawyer will usually not help you much, and cost you a lot... I've talked to a few lawyers for immigration issues, supposedly good ones, none of them seem to really know their stuff. They can be useful in case of criminal issues, or big problems. But for basic stuff, or answers, this...

    LMIA---> EE/CEC

    1. Yes. It can be for your current job. In the document form to file there is an option to say "the employee is already working...". 2. Depends. there are 2 type of LMIA. For a WP, or to support PR. Second option allow to ease-up on the "transition plan" requirement. Sponsoring for PR is the...

I have a CRS score of 453, what are my chances?

Sorry guys, but I don't believe it's realistic to believe CRS scores will drop to 400+ by the end of the year. The chance of it happening is very low. There are quotas for PNPs, but also for all the streams and those are filling up quickly with scores higher than 470. There are new applicants...

    AOR JAN 2016 - let's get together

Actually, I'm the same ;) I'm thinking it might be because someone's working on our file, therefore access is "locked", and info cannot be retrieved until the agent closed the file. But I guess that's the developer in me talking... and the optimist ! :D

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

That's great news ! Usually, it means you're close to PPR. :D Let's keep up the good stuff. BTW, I was thinking', they don't have all those refugees files anymore, they can focus on our files now. That could explain why the sudden updates and PPRs for a lot of people.

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

Nope. Nothing. They didn't ask for additional documents either. I'm guessing it is a good sign. Still hoping/expecting PPR sometimes this month ;) So many people go theirs lately, figure I'll be next soon.

    Work exp for CEC EE

You need proof of work for all the experience you declare that gives you points. For example, I declared 2 employments within Canada totalling 1 year, and 1 foreign experience of several years. I only declared the work I knew I could prove (some were simply impossible). Still I had to put all...

When will people with CRS 350 be selected!!!

Honestly... never! There are far too many people with better scores. Quotas are filling up, they already started to slow down the number of invites... The lower scores expected later this year will probably be more in the 450 zone.

    Accept OR Decline ITA

If your WP expires this month, I don't think there is much you can do. The expiry of your WP could make you ineligible (depending on program, POF, etc.). Any CELPIP/IELTS test you could re-take would come too late. Otherwise, it would have been good to be able to get CLB9 in writing and...

    Very Bad news

You do realize when you made your application you were asked where you wanted to live ??? If you said Ontario, they expect you to land and live in Ontario, not BC. At least for a while...

    Factors for PR processing time

Of course, that will never be an exact science... ;) Wish we could all have it in that timeline ! Everyone happy ;D What would be interesting to know are the other factors of that person's application. Maybe travelling is not so much an issue, if it's well documented, in countries not...

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

I you ask me, yes. Medicals and BG changed on Apr 28. No ECAS. I try it every once in a while, but no access so far. CIC is ruling out ECAS, and all paper applications in favour of the MyCIC account website. PR applications have still to be phased in. So my guess is that they didn't bother...

    Factors for PR processing time

Hey, So I know this is something all of us, with an application in process, are sort of wondering... And it's making us crazy not knowing. How is CIC processing ? What are the factors that make an application being processed fast or slow ? etc. So here's my idea... You're welcome to share your...

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

Many confuse Express Entry with Permanent Residency. Express Entry is simply a candidate pool for selection to Permanent Residency. It is the new and only way now to apply for PR. There are still some PR applications in process that didn't go through the EE pool/selection, but in the future...

AOR APRIL 2016 >>> JOIN HERE

Nope. It's tempting... but it takes so much time receiving those that it might be useless. I'm confident with a fast processing of my application. Let's call it positive thinking :D Maybe I'll review the ordering GCSM notes in a few weeks, but so far, I trust all will go according to plan.

With you there... Waiting is so frustrating. I've got a similar timeline. CIC Inland AOR in April 14 Medicals Passed Apr 28 Background Check changed to In Progress Apr 28 Though, I'm quite optimistic for PPR. I'm thinking some day in June. My background check should not raise any concerns...

    Help me on Educational evluation

A masters is indeed considered as more than "one degree" as it requires a previous degree to get one. Though you still need to provide proof of the Bachelor degree. And if it has not been done in Canada, it needs to be assessed and/or translated. Otherwise, those points could be simply denied...

    AOR JAN 2016 - let's get together

For the age criteria, this will not affect a submitted application. (They took into consideration we simply cannot stop aging while they process our application ;-)) It only affects those haven't applied for PR yet (no ITA, no AOR).

    Help me on Educational evluation

It can get you more points in the Skill transferability factors. You should calculate your points with just the Master degree, and then see if adding the second degree can give you more points. Skill transferability - Education: maximum is 50pts Skill transferability - Foreign Work Experience...

    Please Help!

Obviously the Foreign Work Experience you declared is not assessed the way you believe it would for Skill transferability. Your degree is Canadian, no need for ECA. Only foreign degrees need ECA. A master gives you 135 pts. Could you elaborate and give us the details on what you declared for...
