Mailed out my application in early November and no AOR yet. I imagine that people in Ontario won't get their PR before 3-4 months due to the provincial lockdown.

Not necessarily. I imagine it would depend on where you travelled and "why" as this information is for the security stage in your application. Personally, I have extensive travel history (tourism & study) before coming to Canada and my PR application was processed in normal timing.

The official processing time to get proof of citizenship is 5 months only. I would suggest that you and your mother apply for this certificate. You can hire an immigration lawyer if you believe that you have a complicated situation. Good luck
