    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

If you just received and passed IME recently, you need to wait for PCC first. A bunch of us received doc request including PCC BEFORE IME and even before DM1, that's why the whole process was so much quicker. If you see the people who got PPR so far, you will see that pattern.

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Exempted according to application guide, never receive such a request, fee should be refunded as collection never take place. I waited till PR card arrived as I don't want to complicate things to slow down the process. It's not going to be a huge deal if they don't refund. I still think I'd...

PR card received yesterday on Sep 18th, card was produced on the 10th, and landed on Aug 22nd. Timeline seems to align with what IRCC currently declares 12 days to receive the first PR card. I really have nothing much to update anymore. :) I also sent a request for refund of the biometric fee...

The CBSA officer is correct. They must leave Canada after 6 months of staying unless it's a super visa or you are applying to extend the stay. Going to the U.S. and returning by land crossing doesn't reset. Technically one must return to the home country, although going (flying) to Mexico, Cuba...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

It's completely normal and rather unfortunate for you. They need to follow their announced 30 days commitment. Otherwise if they complete everyone's request within a week, people will just flood in the requests. Maybe try to use webform to ask what's going on?

Then hopefully the GCMS notes request would activate your case somehow or send them an inquiry through webform to prompt someone to take a look at your case.

I give you the exact wording. My letter has other documents than PCC, and doesn't apply to everyone. No acknowledgement and no update on MyCIC until one day before applicant status changed to DM says we are reviewing the additional documents you sent (similar wording). I received a document request via email and asked to send back via email as well; alternatively, mail in the originals.

Well technically you should report now and yes, it might slow down the process. I don't think you are in that hurry? On the other hand, your entire application is in final review. I remember it took me exactly a week from DM to PCC. That means maybe when you told them about your situation, you...

That all depends on the workload of the clinic and/or the general health condition of the applicant. I also did extensive search beforehand so I knew exactly which clinic to go to in GVA once I received the letter. I'm also glad the clinic was as good as I expected.

For sure Chinese citizens won't be allowed to board on a plane with less than 6 months of validity in passport, painful experience by a friend. This is surprising. I thought it's a common rule for boarding an international flight. So I did a quick search and found one list included India and the...

Both what you said are correct and not contradictory. His wife is inland already so it doesn't matter if the passport is less than 6 months of expiry. She can go through the land crossing. However, for other means of travelling to perform the landing, you usually will need to have a passport...
