IMM1344; can my wife sign for me? (we are on different continents at the moment)

I think you know the answer to this one. If it asks for your signature it is asking for YOUR signature. Take that as you may.

Other names (e.g. nicknames, maiden names, alias)

Any explanation letters I had I put in front of the corresponding form. Didn't seem to slow down or hurt the process any.

Other names (e.g. nicknames, maiden names, alias)

I would imagine any name you use publicly. I wouldn't consider gamer tags an alias, stage names and such I would probably include. Maybe include a letter explaining the names?

Actually, with my visitor extension we included a letter from my wife explaining that she is taking full responsibility for me including financially.

    Reasons for rejections?

Well, I suppose I get the added benefit of being here and applying outland. So it is especially hard for me to see the benefit of applying inland.

    Reasons for rejections?

May I ask why you are applying inland instead of outland? I never understand why people choose this path as it is very long.

    Marriage Certificates

I would just use the Actual certificate which you received from the ceremony. That would make it less confusing.

Outland Application and Leaving Canada soon!

Not sure about whether it would help or not (husband being with you) but if you plan on putting in your application beforehand (I advise going outland as it is faster)take copies of your pr app with you and receipt of payment. When re-entering let them know that you plan on staying during the pr...

Outland Application and Leaving Canada soon!

Wow, guess she was having a bad day. It is a risk returning to the U.S. on whether or not you will be readmitted and one that you will have to decide if you want to take or not but you can't apply for an extension before you go. Good luck on your decision.

Outland Application and Leaving Canada soon!

Don't apply for an extension before you leave. Once you leave your extension is void. You are from a visa exempt country. Why did they give you a visitor record? You never know if they will give you a hard time about reentering. Also, you can apply outland while still in Canada. If you wish you...

    Once application approved

There is a date but it varies. From what I am hearing it is usually before the medical expires. The medicals can now be extended up to about a year. If your plans have you moving at the end of the year I wouldn't worry that much about it. Nothing is stopping you from landing and returning to...

    Applying Outland & Waiting Inland

How is this at the expense of anyone? Also, people who are already applying for sponsorship are not much of a risk as they have shown they want to enter the country and stay legally. Not many people are willing to risk their future after spending so much time trying to do it the right way. I...

    spouse questionnaire

I had met nearly every person in my wife's life by the time we applied. We filled out the paperwork showing mostly family and a few very close friends and she did the same for who she had met. I also wrote a letter explaining how we have met every important person in each other's lives. I did...
