For those from India - Immigration info query

Hi all, For anyone who recently landed in Canada, I have a query with regards to Indian Immigration. At the Indian Immigration counters at the airport, do we have to show any other documents besides our passport, ticket and Canadian visa/COPR when leaving the country for Canada? What about...

    FAMILY REUNIFICATION - BIG CHANGES

Let's hope so! :) I still would like to know how this works out with VOs with longer processing times, including ones with higher volumes. Maybe a larger staff will make the processing faster' Or there is a new mandate on service delivery. Atleast from the NDVO thread, it doesn't seem to be FIFO...

    FAMILY REUNIFICATION - BIG CHANGES

I think you captured it all - at least from what I heard! 12 months processing for 80% of spousal applicants regardless whether inland or Outland, and apparently effective from today. How that affects applicants already in process wasn't very clear as many have been waiting more than a year and...

GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW

Thanks Crisgov, Maybe that's it. There was a note saying page X-X have been held back. I do have two minor dependents on my application but my spouse is definitely over 19 years ...LOLS! but maybe his information is also hidden (he's Canadian) as we applied for my file (PA) notes. Thanks Skitz

GCMS NOTES WELL EXPLAINED HAS NEVER BEFORE UNTIL NOW

Have already done so and multiple pages - no reference to S.26. Have seen S.15 and S.19 - hence my question! If anyone has a link to a Govt document that shows all these reference annotations, I can look it up myself :)

NEW DELHI (NDVO) - 2016 SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE CANADA

Congratulations! What is your timeline? They may ask you for a re-medical if your BGC takes longer and they choose not to extend your medicals.... it's a tricky situation! If you ask for an extension, it may delay your process and put you back in line until they decide to re-open your file...

NEW DELHI (NDVO) - 2016 SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE CANADA

From what I understand, her new passport is the one which is valid. All renewed passports contain the last Passport file number. She cannot hold two valid Indian passports as per law so the new one is the one on which she will travel and be valid (the validity is given on the ID page). In...

Proof : intend to live in canada with your spouse

Hi, 1. Yes you can as a Canadian citizen and transfer funds. You should check with a few of the big banks in Canada and see what the procedure is or look at an HSBC or other international bank with offices in Canada who can do it for you - you may be able to do this online. 2. I think this...

Proof : intend to live in canada with your spouse

Hello, basically you have to show proof of how you intend to settle in Canada and support your family given you have been living abroad from what I gather. This could include opening bank accounts (sending them proof of this), emails with real estate agents identifying houses for rent or sale...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I think we have ways to go with NDVO before they even get to June. Currently they are still slowly processing March and April - quite a few still left from the these months. May files havent even begun yet.... it is disappointing to see other VO's processing applications real quick, especially...
