I don't think asking for the copy of the passport is the same as PPR. Just saying, they need to put the visa in her original passport.

I submitted a privacy act request on December 9 to get the notes on the file, even haven't received that! They finally acknowledged today that my access to information request is overdue!

I am not sure if going on EI is going to cause any problems for you. EI is wellfare not financial assistance. You should double check. Just try to find another job. We have 3.5 months left of 2016.
