Yes, you should put your parents (2) + you (1) + your spouse (1) + your kids ( kids born before Jan. 2015). But still some people linked with their parents + 2 ( sponsor + sponsor's spouse), no kids. Just try.

I reached out to my MP to place an inquiry on my parents case as there is no progress.
After two weeks, MP office said that application is in process and CIC will contact when they are ready for next step and they can not provide any timeline.
So basically it really didn't help. So for those who are considering reaching out to MP, I don't think it helps in anyway. What they tell you is what you see in e-cas or MyCIC.

So, we are not sending anything to CIC by mail (postal service)?? I sent PCC and RPRF receipt to CPC Ottawa by email ...PCC on a different email Id and RPRF receipt at a different email Id provided in their email to my parents. Hope I did the right thing.

I'm single, sponsoring my mom only (widowed). I put "2".

Just try any possible combination you can think of.
Sponser + applicant(s) is confirmed in my case. But for family married with kids, I heard that the number does not include sponsor's kid(s).

What info did you use to link it? I still cannot do this
I can check the permanent residency application on check my status but cannot link ...

Just make sure all info are the same as on the application form you submitted back then.

If it doesn't work, I think it's probably your parent's PR case hasn't put in the system yet.

For us, I had been trying for a week or so with no success. I tried every single combination I could think of, but still no luck.
I was gonna gave up, but few days ago I tried again. Bam! it worked!! I didn't tried anything new at all.

On My CIC Application status, under Permanent Resident it shows We started processing on July 29, 2016.

On My GC linked account it shows Medical results Review in Progress, but we haven't received medical or PCC request and we havent submitted it either. Should I wait for it or should I contact CIC. My LVO is New Delhi.

I have received medical and police certificate request for my mother today. I also have been asked to submit updated IMM 5669 Schedule A Background / Declaration form, my father's death certificate and permanent residence fee within a month.

I also received a letter from Singapore today asking for medical, RPRF and Notarized copy of death certificate of my father. But surprisingly no police clearance or IMM 5669 schedule A. Does it show your mother's background check started online when you linked your application? Mine shows not started.

I also tried to linked my file not able to access it . Its not working for me did u fill your passport or for the person who you are sponsoring their passport I tried every combination nothing work. Please help me with this.
