Found this on r/ImmigrationCanada I'm really hoping IRCC issues a statement to let people know what's gonna happen with their cancelled ceremonies, but what I don't understand is why are ceremonies still being cancelled today and tomorrow. They didn't get the "we have a deal" memo?!

The words "IRCC" and "fair" in the same sentence do not exist :D I wouldn't get my hopes up on even thinking that people with cancelled ceremonies will be prioritized at this point...

I think you're misdirecting your anger toward the wrong group of people. I would never wish anyone to be in a refugee position. I have friends and family that went to the Ukraine border to help and hosted refugees in their homes. I heard absolutely heartbreaking stories and I'm very glad to see...

He was scheduled but got the cancelation email 2 days ago. They didn't update the tracker, but once they do, it will show "not started", I guess.

There's a 9.7% wage premium compared to the private sector, and that's not even mentioning benefits, early retirement, etc.

In other news, I finally got in the tracker today and it shows "in progress" for the ceremony section, with the "Congratulations! You've been scheduled to attend your citizenship ceremony on April 27, 2023. Follow the instructions you will receive in your ceremony invitation." message.

I'd be the first to sign a petition for this. Paid by the no of oath ceremonies and applications processed. Performance-based compensation like in the private sector :)
