It is generally taking 2 to 3 weeks to get the passport back. I submitted my passport on 27th May, and it was received on 28th May, and still waiting.

Congratulations!!! You may receive the PPR next week or at most in a month. After that you need to send the passport for Visa stamping, which also takes couple of weeks at least.

Is anybody aware of the current wait period at CIC offices in Montreal for confirming the PR? Is it faster at any other offices nearby or going to Lacolle is the best option. Any recent experience at Lacolle would also be helpful. Thank you.

Thank you. Since I applied through a lawyer my communication was mainly through my local MP. IRCC told them that they were awaiting an additional document and that was the reason for taking more than 20 months. Therefore, I believe that most of the applicants should receive their DM within 20...
