I’m also in the same situation. It’s been exactly a month since my medical got extended. My criminality and security were also passed during that time, according to the call with the agent. My friend got his PR two-three weeks after his medical got extended.

Hi,I’m not sure if it’s mandatory to get the new SIN but I can confirm it’s a very easy and fast process if you decide to get it. I applied online and they mailed me the new SIN in 3 days.

When the medical expired, the status changed to ‘You do not need a medical exam’. After the extention, it changed again to ‘You passed the medical exam on (new date)’.

Hi, Thanks for this detailed reply. When I called on March 10th, my medical was expired, criminality was still in progress and security not started. But in only 9 days, my medical was extended and criminality and security was passed. What are the next steps after all stages are passed?
