I don't know how the government works but I got a closed work permit and then relocated to US so the Canadian employment ends before the expiry date on the permit. However, I am still able to crossing Canada-US border with that permit. CBSA never questioned about my employment.

No update. Passport delivered Mar 9 to CPC-Ottawa.

No sure what's the billing part but on the instruction IRCC gave me, they asked me to send a pre-paid envelope along with the documents (if mailed in Canada it should be a Canada Post Xpresspost envelope). To the question, I think CPC-Ottawa will fill in the label as what you put in the return...

I think the only way is that you have written down the tracking number of the return envelope before you shipped the documents.

When did you mail your passport, and when did you receive them?

AOR Aug 3 PPR Mar 3 VO Edmonton Passport received by CPC Ottawa on Mar 9 (according to Canada Post) Forget to write down return envelope tracking number. No updates till now. Contacted IRCC through web form and said it's still in processing bla bla.
