anyone in this bunch recieved a oath letter today? also i hear some people are recieving email notifications for oath. any one in this bunch recieve either ?
My child was born while both me and my spouse were on a work permit (TFW) and is a canadian citizen.
If the child is issued a canadian birth certificate, just take that and apply for a passport and i would suggest at this stage stop worrying.

you could attempt to not give your email address, and that will trigger a snail mail, however to make sure your process goes through smooth, i would provide an email and use that as a mode for communication and updates rather than snail mail
i called the helpdesk, but was given the same response .. no further updates .. my test is 2 days after you. if you have not got it ... i cant be optimistic.
So far in browsing through the forum, i have not encountered any such cases as well. However, what i am seeing is a very very small subset of people who are going through this process actually update in this forum

the letter is mandatory unless you have a valid reason such as the letter was not delivered. your reason sounds like a very valid RQ trigger. any reason why you had not updated the address for your case? would suggest that you update your address soonest possible
looks like you got out of the waiting gang - congratulations to you. when you recieve the letter let us know what is the post date and when you recieve it
we did our family application about a month ago, and has been accepted by cic. (have an AOR and in recieved) here is our experience - hope this helps.
