I am so unbelievably frustrated with immigration canada!!!! We sent my police record from the United States in addition to a solemn affirmatino regarding the fact that I could not receive a police record from the Turks and Caicos Islands and a letter was sent to us yesterday asking for a police...

It also doesn't have a line saying that a letter has been sent...I tried getting through to the call centre but the lady was exceptionally rude and wouldn't even log into my file...I am going to try again this afternoon.

If there is information missing (i.e. medicals or police records) will they say in the AIP letter what they still need?

People in Quebec are fairly open to hiring individuals with a work permit (as I personally hold one and had three job offers when I applied). The bigger challenge, especially as an American is showing your fluency in French. I applied inland and it took nine months to receive my work permit...

Got through to the call centre at 4:00 on the button today....found out that I received AIP today (I wonder what took them so long, maybe it will be like Love Young and have 2nd stage approval in a few days). Finally can take a nice breathe of relief!

@whiteapple, yeah I got through yesterday afternoon around 3:30. I am going to try again around the same time when I see what the change is on the CIC website for processing date.

Whiteapple we must have the same officer....as frustrating is for both of us it is nice to know that someone else is in the same boat (meaning that there probably isn't anything wrong with out apps, just slow officers or waiting for police checks or something)

Nothing in the mail, it was confirmed when I called CIC that it has been approved. My partner and I talked it over tonight and we are taking the outlook that if there was something wrong or they wanted more info they wouldn't have had us proceed with QC. Maybe they are just holding out waiting...

We did apply in Quebec and received our CSQ on June 20th. Did not request FOSS notes but if I don't hear anything by next Wednesday (I will give them time to update this week and next week) I will request them.

Nothing against everyone else who has waited patiently (as I have too) but reading this forum is making me so ANGRY! People who applied TWO WEEKS after me are receiving both first and second stage approval and I still have nothing and already spoke to CIC today, what the Hell is going on at...

Congrats xiques...but I can't help think what on earth is going on with our Application if it is already July 5th, we applied 10 days earlier and STILL have not heard a thing!

So frustrating...I just called CIC today and they said I will hear before the end of July that is still 1 month away. I am going to be bothered tomorrow if the date changes to a date past when my application arrived.
