Yes, you do get an email that your application has been updated. But this happens 24 hours after your application actually gets "approved". So you could check manually or after the email, doesn't matter. Cheers!

I don't think that's correct. They stamp it and only then status changes to "Approved". They send it back and tracker gets activated later that night or next day. They definitely process in batches.
