I hear you. My bf is an outland applicant and he's given up just waiting for them to lift the travel restrictions. He's now actively looking into internal transfer opportunity so that he can come to Canada via some special work visa. Then he'll update his profile and perhaps he'll get his PR...

    CEC Outland Applicant

It's very frustrating as my bf told me that IRCC made it clear that they're prioritizing inland applicants at the moment due to the travel restrictions. I think we all have to wait till more people get vaccinated and the US to lift travel bans. Canada usually will follow what the US has done so...

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/opinion-pandemic-immigration-1.5948535 I think most outland applicants share the pain.

I don't understand the rationale - why do they process all the inland applicants first? They're here working anyways and they are not in a rush to get the approval. Outland applicants on the other hand have been waiting and their plans to move have been seriously affected by the serious delay in...

    CEC Outland Applicant

I feel like they're processing mostly inland applications. Once most backlogs are clear, they hopefully will expedite the outland applications and really hope that the borders will be open by that time. There's no way you can land right now even with your CoPR... Fingers crossed. I share your...

Seems like most Sept inland applicants have got some wonderful news lately. My bf is an outland applicant and has been anxiously waiting for any updates...

    CEC Outland Applicant

I think you'll hear sth soon. Seems like for outland applicants they're moving up the date weekly. If they're doing mid- to late-June, you'll hear sth hopefully in about a week. Also, they stop giving people additional time to submit documents after ITA, that might hint that they're sort of back...

So I guess for outland applicants they're processing the batch of June? My bf is Sept... sigh... I miss him so much and I'm really frustrating to see all the slow progress taking place...

It's really frustrating that they keep inviting more and more people to apply but the processing is so slow. My bf who's an outland applicant has been waiting for any updates since Feb but nothing ever happened. I think they should hire people, speed up the process and then think about inviting...

That's my hope and feeling. The UK is super likely to resume international travel on May 17 and if the US will allow travel on May 21 I hope Canada will follow suit...

I hope Sept applicants will get their PRs in the next couple of months, when the borders might be reopen. Let's hope for the best. I'm still waiting for my bf to come back - he's an outland applicant and still there's no update other than it's passed the 6-month milestone and there's no update...

    CEC Outland Applicant

I feel like many inland applicants have got the approval lately but not sure about the outland ones. Probably they don't care that much because they can't allow you to come and land anyways before the travel restrictions are lifted.

    CEC Outland Applicant

My bf is an outland CEC applicant - the 6-month mark expired just on Monday and there's nothing. No updates, nothing. I think even with CoPR people can't travel yet because before landing you're not a PR, thus you will be barred from entering the country. Not sure if getting a job offer will...

I think it's really hard to tell now who will get processed. My bf is an outland CEC applicant - AOR Sept 8 and got the same long message people posted above today. He's reaching his 6-month mark next week but we're expecting delays again... Just hope for the best. Also even if they get CoPR...

My boyfriend is an external CEC applicant - AOR: Sep 8. He previously got an email asking him to provide his residential address and that's it. Not sure if that means they're processing his case? What's next? Asking him for photos to prepare for the CoPR? But is it true that even if you get the...
