It is a negative comment that was not needed.
Criticism is okay, insult is not good particularly on twitter. Remember the one who updates the twitter account is a Govt employee, and s/he may be pissed off now and delay response to everyone.
It is a big mess-up from whoever updated the calculator.
The correct eligibility period should be calculated a the last five years or since you first entered Canada, whichever is sooner.
Now we are stuck with this mistake now!
As everyone mentioned forms don't print. I tweeted at IRCC and I encourage you to do the same.
There s a big flaw too in the physical presence calculator. It sets by default the eligibility period for5 years before the day of application, even if applicant arrived to Canada less than years ago...
The CON MP talking now says the language proficiency is an integral part of the Canadian citizenship while he himself has poor proficiency and struggles in reading the documents handed to him!!
Spyfy is one of the few sounds of reason on this forum when panic prevails.
While being calm is helpful, panic doesn't help anybody or get anything done.
Yes, this is understandable, but dealing with someone's own stress shouldn't be through spreading panic to everyone in the forum. If one is stressed they can stop following the forum because it will stress them more and try enjoying life!
I am glad that the pessimistic comments are being ignored now :D :D
Some people like to spread negative comments before any senate setting, and then disappear as soon as they are proven wrong ;)
Hi Spyfy,
Thanks for the useful thread.
I just have a question about a scenario that I guess wasn't mentioned. What happens if the amended bill passes 3rd reading by the senate and goes to HoC, then HoC doesn't approve the amendment. What steps will follow next then??
Thanks!
