That's the thing. No one knows. Not even CIC. All they know and all we are allowed to know is it's for security, to see if you are or have been in any kind of organization, are a terroist and police reports. Vague, I know.

Not at all! I know they have to be vague and give no false promises to people. He said that even they dont know when the clearances come back, so I just have to sit tight for now. I do my best to not think about the process and just focus on being happy and planning my future. Sooo many doors...

I went ahead and gave them a call. Still the same thing. The man on the phone was really nice. He said "You have a very very clean file. Just waiting to hear back from your background clearances and you'll be good to go! Welcome to Canada" Which was nice. It's still a shame that nothing is new...

It's been 90 days since they sent the letter to me requesting my medicals. Still nothing new. I'm really hoping things will be done soon.

I havent heard anything from CIC yet about 2nd stage. My 90s days from getting my medical request is coming up soon. The letter was dated Feb 2nd, I assume that's also the time they count down from the 'bring forward date'. Hope I hear something around May 2nd. "All of the required information...

I would say send in the copy, and tell them why you're sending in the copy. It looks like maybe A) They havent gotten around to attaching your file until last or B) It's gotten lost in Vegreville. Id say call back and ask for your options. I'm really sorry. I wish I could be of more help. :(...

Congrats! It really does sound like the landing interview is a big fat formality than anything. A lot of people are afraid of it. 2 hours though! I guess that was the presentation? Glad you're finally free of this burden! Have fun with your life! <3

I never got either one. I have called and asked if they got my medicals or not, and they have. Sometimes it just doesn't show.

Does anyone know what happens if you have a work permit and dont work?
