    Middle name missing in COPR

Hi all, I already obtained my CoPR and I'm planning to move to Canada in the next few months. Where I'm from, our passports have a last name, given name, and a middle name. These are separate fields. When I was applying for EE, the instructions there said to write the given name as shown in...

Questions on settler's effect list, i.e. goods to bring/follow to Canada and other docs for immigration

Hi, I am now planning for my landing in Canada which I target to be in a few months. I would like to ask some questions about documents to be presented to the immigration officer at the airport. 1) The Canadian government website (link here) says that we may need "letters of reference from...

Hello, my passport is now with VFS. According to GCKEY, my application is now approved ! I am seeing a section called "document status" section. Under that, there is 1 document called "counterfoil". Is the confirmation of permanent residence a different document? If so, where will I find this...

I would be really curious if we can have statistics on processing times for francophones vs non-francophones... because after all, they have a target to reach for francophone immigration

My PPR is actually 8 May but I thought it was 9 May due to the time difference with Canada ! I really don't know what my VO is since I got a PPR letter in gckey, not a RFV email...

How do you find out your VO ? I got a PPR, not a portal invite. I don't have my COPR yet either, except for the COPR number in the tracker...

I am happy to announce that I received my PPR today, 9 May ! By the way, IRCC is asking for my height and eye color to be submitted in the package to be sent to VFS. Do I just write in on a piece of paper and insert it in the package?

we'll wait for the official golden e-mail ;) Then we can test the hypothesis that french speakers are processed faster. after all, they have a quota to meet !

Thanks! :) I did not know it works that way. Hopefully then my country's VO doesn't delay things further. I've read here that some candidates waited 1 month to receive the PPR after having all sections completed.

I got a ghost update on gckey today. But there's no change in status for the background check which still says "in progress..." instead of not applicable.

Out of curiosity, how did you figure out your VO (if you're FSW-outland)? Did you just send a webform? Or, did you call IRCC? If you called IRCC, can you call from outside Canada? I have an app that allows me to make free calls to the US. Not sure if that will work for Canada.

Am I the only one (AOR 3 March) whose background status in gckey did not change to NA? Is there anyone here with roughly the same AOR whose background status in gckey is still "we are processing..." ?

My background verification is also "in progress" from not started. But my eligibility has been completed since 27 March... So it's been a long-ish wait for me since eligibility. I wonder if there is any meaning to this update with background verification.

does anyone know how long the strike will last? Is it just 1 day? It would be strange if it were just for 1 day only considering the warning on service disruption at the IRCC website.
