I am happy to announce that I received my PPR today, 9 May ! By the way, IRCC is asking for my height and eye color to be submitted in the package to be sent to VFS. Do I just write in on a piece of paper and insert it in the package?

Thanks! :) I did not know it works that way. Hopefully then my country's VO doesn't delay things further. I've read here that some candidates waited 1 month to receive the PPR after having all sections completed.

Tracker update after the ghost update on gckey yesterday : Background check is completed on 1 May. Everything's complete on my end and I have a COPR number on the tracker too. However, no passport request yet ...

I got a ghost update on gckey today. But there's no change in status for the background check which still says "in progress..." instead of not applicable.

That's very fast, and considering he's outland. Is he PNP? meanwhile, i have no updates after the background check in progress in the tracker!

Out of curiosity, how did you figure out your VO (if you're FSW-outland)? Did you just send a webform? Or, did you call IRCC? If you called IRCC, can you call from outside Canada? I have an app that allows me to make free calls to the US. Not sure if that will work for Canada.

Am I the only one (AOR 3 March) whose background status in gckey did not change to NA? Is there anyone here with roughly the same AOR whose background status in gckey is still "we are processing..." ?

My background verification is also "in progress" from not started. But my eligibility has been completed since 27 March... So it's been a long-ish wait for me since eligibility. I wonder if there is any meaning to this update with background verification.

does anyone know how long the strike will last? Is it just 1 day? It would be strange if it were just for 1 day only considering the warning on service disruption at the IRCC website.
