I went there at 7:30am and there were around 15 people already in the line. Took me about 60 mins to get to the counter and 20 mins to submit. I was out before 9am. They did not force me to opt for courier. Overall, good experience.

I walked in to BLS Brampton last Saturday for OCI. No issues at all. Submitted 3 applications.

I submitted OCI yestreday and I left out IND from place of brith as you are already mentioning country of birth in the OCI form. It was accepted by BLS.

Guys, Help needed. I am filling out OCI form for my wife. Her last name changed after marriage. There's a check box in the form asking if she has ever changed her name. Is surname change after marriage considered name change?

My SC was updated to Printed yesterday. When should I expect it "Ready for collection" at BLS Brampton ?? "Surrender certificate has been printed."

for OCI, does "Place of Birth" needs to match with Canadian passport or Cancelled Indian passport? In my Indian passport its "Jabalpur MP" but in my Canadain passport its "Jabalpur IND". any advise?

I called BLS and they are saying they will not allow OCI without Surrender Certificate. CGI and BLS are playing tennis with me.

so I contacted CGI Toronto through Samaprk link. I asked them I need SC asap to apply for OCI. Their respone: You can submit the acknowledgement slip with the OCI application. Is that the slip that BLS gives us when submitting application?

Quick Question: while filling OCI application I have put place of brith as my "City name" but in my canadian passport its Written as "City Name IND". Now there is no way to update the OCI online form to reflect "Citi name IND" . does it make a differences?

I know its silly but for minor's application, do we need to write "Professional Details of the applicant" that's he's a minor and attending schools or anything like that?
