    Spousal Sponsorship 3 years rule

The first block also includes "or child" so that's why it was split into two blocks.

    Common-law spouse and Work permit

Yes, it means they have reviewed all the relationship proof and determined you qualify. The next step is the Permanent Resident interview ("landing" interview) where they will finalize your application.

    Common-law spouse and Work permit

The poster above is incorrect, you would definitely qualify as long as you applied inland, have valid status (incl. Visitor) and lived with your spouse/common law partner. Some people met the eligibility requirements for OWP but were still required to wait so you may have been part of the...

    **INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP JANUARY 2019**

Not sure how they would meet the target if they start the BGC so late in the process. In any case, I wanted to get some feedback from those who applied in Jan 2019 as our BGC started at around the same time, in order to gauge how long it's taking approximately for you guys to get approval.

    **INLAND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP JANUARY 2019**

Thanks for your repsonse. So if they started my BGC at the 10th month and it takes over 2 months for BGC wouldn't that mean that my application would go over the 12 months standard processing?

How long is the background check process? Has it taken anyone longer than 2 months from BGC start to receive AIP/Eligibility Passed?

Why would IRCC ask for RPRF fees before/during medical?

I took a look at your timeline on your profile page and you are pretty far along for only having been in the process for 2 months. You're in CPC-Mississauga which does process applications much faster than other offices so I suppose it could be that your application is near completion. You'll...

Why would IRCC ask for RPRF fees before/during medical?

Did you receive a letter asking you to pay the fee? If so, what did the letter say? I believe it is odd for it to be requested before the application is finalized.

Yes you can! There might be a waiting period to be eligible depending on the province you reside in.

Congrats! That is AIP (approval in principle). It means you've been approved for sponsorship. You should expect to receive a "landing" interview next and that's when the process will be officially finalized.

Right, they just need to finalize which is when you get DM/landing letter. I don't think there's much to it after AIP. You have AIP which you pretty much could consider as DM.

So the two oldest ones are not considered dependent but the two youngest ones are. One thing you can try (since they are old enough to speak for themselves) is to get a letter from the kids saying that they are not doing the medical and agree to not ever be sponsored by you. And have it notarized.

Sorry to hear that! How old are your children? If they are not far away from being considered "non dependent" then you can wait out the process. If they are young I would suggest going w a lawyer who can help you out as some have been denied for this reason.

Yeah thats normal it usually doesn't update to say completed until later or it might never be updated, so don't worry about that. You definitely have AIP. May I ask when your BGC changed to "we are processing"?

No, as luckyrabbit13 mentioned, August and June applicants haven't been going through the same process timewise as other applicants. Most of our files will be transferred to the local office for them to finish up the process. If you are concerned you can order your GCMS notes it will tell you...
