Those dates were the dates that the medical facility confirmed they have sent the results to CIC. For us, actual detail per MyCIC says medical results passed Oct 18 but VISA expiry date is Oct 12, 2023. Our background check was listed as completed 6/7/2021 but they didn't ask for a renewed one...

This is terrible. Did they pass the medicals at the same time? Could it be that your mom's was actually received by CIC a couple of days earlier than your dad's? For my parents, there is a 6 day difference (Oct 13 and 7) but MyCiC shows Oct 18 as medical is passed date.

Any update on this?

Thank you! I checked MyCIC today and it officially says approved and details Visa numbers and such. I am over the moon happy!

Hi everyone! After 3 years and 5 months, my parents PR application is now approved and we are just awaiting passports back. Thanks everyone for all the inputs. I am very excited to spend Christmas this year with my parents! Hope its close for everyone else :)

I am on the same boat! Curious if they are STILL processing background check or it just doesn't get updated. I'm excited to celebrate with receiving PPR but I am a bit worried that something will still get delayed given how unnecessarily painful this process is

So last night, we got the passport request. ECAS says decision made too but on MyCIC it still says background check in progress. Is this it?? or should we expect further requests in between? I want to be excited but really expecting the worst lol!

June 2019 applicant as well. We received a request for a copy of the renewed passport as the original ones expired and 2nd medicals on Sept 28. 2nd Medicals have been updated as passed on Oct 18- have not heard anything back yet. Curious why no request for an updated police clearance was made
