    Pgwp expiring in july 2019

Did you study here with a diploma or degree and how many years of skilled experience do U currently have? Your points are quite low though. What about language results? Have you tried getting a clb 9. It does wonders for crs scores. My previous points for a clb 7 was in the 440’s and upgrading...

    PGWP extension

Does your 3 years back home qualify as a skilled job? With your 1 yr diploma and 3 years experience, why don’t you calculate to see if you got enough points for the federal skilled worker (FSW) category currently? Another option is to ask your employer if they can get a LMIA for you so you can...

    CEC October 2018 Applicants

Sorry, I have a question regarding sending of passports. Can I send it through any mail service like Canada post etc or are there specific visa application centres where we are required to send it? I live in Saskatchewan and I can’t seem to find a VAC close to me.

    CEC October 2018 Applicants

I’ll try to be more positive. I guess it’s because my AOR is just oct 20 which is still less than 2 months hence my worry

    CEC October 2018 Applicants

Did anyone get this “application/profile updated” on their account recently and didn’t notice any change. Oh dear, I’m worried it might be something negative cos this is my first experience of the “ghost update”

October 2018 AOR - join here

Most cec inland applicants I’ve seen (including me) has been in the ip2 stage since MEP so I think the known processing stages (ip1, ip2 etc) doesn’t really matter much tbh

    OPEN WORK PERMIT

Hi. I was also in the same situation. I completed my 1 yr on October and my PGWP expired on nov 3 2018. The main thing that will make this extremely stressful situation a success is if you have crs points above 450. This makes you confident that you’re surely going to get an ITA once you...

    CEC October 2018 Applicants

Inland would be an applicant applying from/currently residing in Canada, while Outland would be outside Canada. I’ve heard people say that they called their customer helpline to find out their visa office. They’re probably other ways to find out though.

which one is easier CELPIP - General or IELTS ?

Obviously , there are people who will find Celpip easier and vice versa. But I think most people would say that IELTS is more realistic in comparison to the real world. There are also more available study materials for IELTS online that are free. Took both exams and actually preferred IELTS so...

    Post-ITA Profile Change

50 points is allocated for the job offer. So if your current score is 468 without the job offer, then you can go ahead. It’s still high

Ray of Hope - 102nd draw

You’re almost at clb 9. Rewriting or appealing writing would definitely get u an ITA soon. Your current score is really good too and maybe the cutoff may drop below that for the next draw. It’s like a gamble so it depends on what you choose to do. But I’ll suggest a clb9 is the easier route if...

    3rd Oct 2018 ITA - Join here

I haven’t started my pr application yet, still gathering my documents . But I think everyone has the proof of funds checklist, but if you’re under CEC, it’s not required but a letter of explanation should be uploaded that confirms that you were invited under CEC. Or are you worried because you...

    3rd Oct 2018 ITA - Join here

For CEC, during the express entry profile creation, the system gives u an error except you put a 0 in the money question. At least, that’s what happened to me, I just put a 0 cos I knew I met the criteria for only CEC

    3rd Oct 2018 ITA - Join here

I also got invited under CEC. I read that we would just have to upload a letter saying that we were invited to apply under CEC (aka a letter of explanation)

Ways to increase chance of being chosen from the pool?

I’m guessing your degree wasn’t obtained in Canada right? Because that would have given u additional 30 points. I think one of your options would be a job offer (50 points for that I think). Or if that wouldn’t be an viable option, then you should actively look into the requirements for a...

    Bridging Open Work Permit

Oh I see. I’m also running on limited PGWP because it expires next month. I received an ITA today so I have to apply for both PR and then BOWP before this month ends.

    Bridging Open Work Permit

Yes. It is expensive. Almost the cost of a pr application. Sorry about that. Actually you need an AOR (generated in your account after PR submission) for the BOWP application not just an ITA. Just one question, why did u enter the pool late. Were you waiting for a completion for one of your points?
