Hello Guys! Got my ITA today under CEC. I have a question regarding the proof of funds. I thought that we did not have to prove that we had the funds under that category but on my checklist it says it is required. Do I just have to upload a document from the bank or do I also need To make sure that I have the required funds? Thank you

I also got invited under CEC. I read that we would just have to upload a letter saying that we were invited to apply under CEC (aka a letter of explanation)
As far as I am aware you have to ensure you have the funds that you stated when creating the EE profile because people have faced denials in later stages.

For CEC, during the express entry profile creation, the system gives u an error except you put a 0 in the money question. At least, that’s what happened to me, I just put a 0 cos I knew I met the criteria for only CEC
So with a 0 in the money question, do you still have the proof of funds required on your checklist?

I haven’t started my pr application yet, still gathering my documents . But I think everyone has the proof of funds checklist, but if you’re under CEC, it’s not required but a letter of explanation should be uploaded that confirms that you were invited under CEC.
Or are you worried because you put a specific amount during your profile creation. If so, I’m not sure about that, cos I did put a “0” for that question for my profile
So while answering the question, how much funds will you take. Put 0 for your answer then In the letter of explanation say you are cec
