Any idea when the service for a refugee travel document will reopen? it's closed for over a year now?

I just wanted to update everyone that yesterday i got my pr card, applied for pr may 10th, 2019 received pr on feb 17, 2021, got pr card may 28, 2021

Mine took 24 hours, my application was processed in Toronto and then they sent it to Mtrl office for finalization, after Dm, i received basically within the next 24h, this is case by case so don’t worry if it doesn’t come that fast

Your copr letter should have instructions on it that tell you what to send them and where

I as well traveled while waiting for my pr, but as someone mentioned once you become pr your status changes from protected person to permanent resident. Personally i will trust the cic article and not travel before i have my card since the article is very clear... and it is up to you as well...

Yes pre-PR you can but once you have PR, you need your pr card to enter Canada. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=064&top=10

Nothing. Sometimes it takes longer.

Not sure about that but just remember that to get back to Canada you absolutely need your pr card so DONT travel before getting it.

Any idea guys on when they plan to resume RTD processing? I am wondering if it's better to apply now and wait or wait for them to resume services and maybe i'll be able to go there and get it?

Look up shelters and call them and ask your questions. Also, look into Ontario Works they might be able to help you until you get a work permit. For example this one I found googling toronto refugee shelters for you has 58 beds over 18 rooms. so I would assume that they might have a low bed...

I moved in the middle of my application too, From Ontario to quebec, i just updated my address in the system and that was it.

The person who helped me told me to check back with them either in person or by phone after about a week and half after to make confirm it was updated.

Check the gckey account and see if it was added above your approval letter. it's on a case by case basis but hopefully you get it soon.

they will send you the attachment most likely in the next few hours since they added the COPR to your GCkey. for me the attachment was added the same day I saw the document was added to Gckey

Oh yeah, I would assume the agent just forgot that they sent it my mail, or sent it, didnt update the gckey and then sent a new one when he updated it on gckey platform. They work on so many platforms, they are always not corresponding.

You have to disclose all your travels in the pr and citizenship application, so unless you are willing to perjure yourself in your applications and citizenship interview then they will know. That has very severe consequences, if they come to find that you lied on your application, they can...

Honestly I was about a month and half behind the progression bar too, I was supposed to get my pr by Jan 10th but I got it on Feb 18. Everytime i saw any update I was so happy cause it meant that they are actively working on my file. Also, I basically got most things updated within 2 months. So...
