They, unfortunately, seem to have removed it from webform as soon as their office opened for processing, I applied using it in May but now I don't see it. I'd recommend calling, you might have to apply for urgent processing by mail.

The issue with Italy is that I cant find this info anywhere online, so i would recommend you contact them yourself especially through email and keep their email as proof in case the airline gives you trouble… but of course they have the last say

I find that hard to believe, going many times? don't they have to include it in their citizenship application? And lying could put them at risk for fraud resulting in status and citizenship loss...

Yes even applying for a passport from your home country gives them reason to believe you will avail.

For a travel document you always need a guarantor, my lawyer was my guarantor, he signed both my photos, signed the application and signed my ID copies since i didnt send the originals!

Be careful because you are supposed to fly using a refugee travel document not your home passport

Guys don't forget that when you apply for RTD, you are only supposed to send RTDs/passports that are still valid, if it's already expired then you dont need to send it back! It says : any valid passport or travel document issued in your name

When you apply for a new RTD, it says in the checklist to only send passports still valid not the expired ones, maybe call the rtd office and see if they can send it back with the new RTD

RTD services werent available for years, they were only processing urgent RTD, the website now says they’re back to business :(

Why did you send them your expired RTD? You're supposed to send it only if it's still valid. It says on pptc190 requirement checklist: Any non-expired Canadian refugee travel document or Canadian certificate of identity issued to you in the last 5 years

Nobody is more of a law expert than your lawyer… if he/she thinks it’s doable then you should trust them…
