Much of these are case by case. I've noticed people go out of their way to create fear and doubt in these forums. Congrats on the Pre-arrival letter. Hopefully you get your PPR soon!

Where did you apply? The new IRCC portal or GC Key? Also, do you mind sharing what supporting documents you used? I am planning on applying for my wife via GC Key.

I my case there it was pretty much an immediate update on the tracker. And yes you can link your online application to your CIC GC Key Account. Just follow the instruction on the portal, where you are asked number of members in the application, if it's just you and your spouse, you can enter "2".

I think in the end it's a case by case basis. Here's someone else who was also way for 6months and got approved...

Please where is this stated, that a PR can only make short trips of 2 to 3 weeks? Is there a know case where a Sponsor's application has been denied for this reason?

When were you able to link to the tracker? Mine was empty for everything else as yours until after we got the AOR. So, I suspect yours should change soon.

Recently got an AOR for the Family Class sponsorship of my wife. Now, I am looking to apply for a visitor visa for my wife (who is being sponsored, i.e. the PA). Can anyone let me know if they have done this? How do you declare "Dual Intent"? And what are the recommended supporting documents?
