This may be a stupid question....but when they request your passport and then give you COPR what exactly is done? Do they stamp your passport? Do they send you a document? What is it exactly?

It was the Mexican visa officer handling my case. In my notes it stated that the officer handling my case is no longer employed and that the new officer reviewed my full file and that I sufficiently proved a genuine marriage

You are right! It did change. That is a good sign. I copied and pasted from vfs site: The Canada VAC in “Mexico City” is closed to the public, but will provide passport return services via courier only with effect from 27th August 2020 (Tuesday & Thursday from 7:00 to 12:00). A VAC...

I think with everything going on and all the protests that at some point soon the government will figure something out for us. I'm not going to hold my breath but there is a lot of pressure on the government for reuniting families.

Oh really? I don't see a date on their site and they told me they had no set date. Any chance you have a link? I see that they extended certain measures until September 30 but I didn't know that means they will reopen then...

I tried chatting with the VAC in Mexico City but they wouldn't tell me anything lol. Just that they will open when the government permits them to but I don't understand because they allow tourists to go there now for vacations but yet the VAC can't open. It doesn't make any sense to me

Yes. It was another member that posted originally "We have added your file to a list of files to be finalized from within Canada as services there resume." I'm thinking since Mexico is still closed and there are so many application they are assigning them to different offices. So finger crossed...

To request the information I think you just need the permission of accompanying parent? If you have dependents that aren't biologically yours then I'm assuming you already included in your application a custody agreement which gives custody to your wife. I would just fill out the form. If the...

That is good news. That must be why I'm seeing Bogota in my notes. When it opens....to send passports there would take half the time

But our application is approved. So I'm not sure what is left to work on. Everything in the notes says passed. It says application status approved. And Ecas says decision made...and it now says Bogota which from my understanding is much faster then Mexico. It also says counterfoil issued expiry...
