You can mail the embassy anytime during the course of application process and tell them to keep the process for visa going along. They return the passport for further travels. If your visa is approved later you can submit your passport to nearest Canada VAC wherever you are stationed. Thanks

Thanks .. I live in India and my application for Can+ was processed in Ottawa. It was granted in less then twenty four hours. I had a previous travel to Canada and visa was still valid when I applied for a new one after I renewed my passport.

The visa stamp bears issuing post ‘osc operations’ . I guess online applications are being processed at Ottawa where the operations are quicker then here in India. The promised timeline for Can+ is three to five days though response is much faster.

Yeah.. It all DEPENDS at the Visa officers discretion.. As far as my case goes I just submitted my passport , travel history , my children’s study permits and visa copies. That’s all I submitted alongwith my application online.

Hi.. if anyone has a Valid US visa. They could go for CAN+. It takes max two days if applied online ... Me and my wife got TRV in less then twenty four hours.

Well as I said I have told what I felt worked in my case and I didn’t comment on anyone else’s chances or getting or not getting the visa. I told just one aspect which seems to have worked for me. There maybe millions of other things that work. Wish well for all.

Is the visa till the validity of the passport or for ten years going beyond the validity of passport as it is the case of US visa

Applied at VFS New Delhi on 5 September.. linked paper application to online gc key account. No updates there.. Anyone on these timelines.. ???
