    Traveling on landing document?

yes, as the agent told you, you cannot leave Canada until you have your PR card. Otherwise, you won't be able to re-enter. I've read PR cards take up to 2 months to be issued. Perhaps you can apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (see link below), but you must be outside Canada to apply...

Life after Golden Email (PPR request)

you know when you apply for a visa they ask "have you ever been denied entry to a country?". I don't know if flag-poling will classify as that, so I'd rather not risk it. I'll try to book an interview. Plus, I don't live that close to the border anyway

Life after Golden Email (PPR request)

yes, one or the other. Landing at the border is faster because you can go any day you want, but for those of us with no US visa, it's not much of a choice hahaha we have to book an interview haha

Received PPR Today - To send passport or photocopies?

you're welcome. I don't know where you live exactly, but if you use Canada Post Xpresspost service, Ottawa will receive it in 1 or 2 business days. It's pretty fast! Good luck

Received PPR Today - To send passport or photocopies?

You are required to submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport. Just pay attention to the instructions on your PPR email. I exported the Annex A into a word file (took a screenshot of the barcode), filled it out on my computer, printed it, signed...

Received PPR Today - To send passport or photocopies?

yes, you must send just a photocopy of your passport. The same for your wife if she's also British (exempt of visa). If she's from a country that needs a visa, she'll have to send her actual passport, not just a photocopy. It's true, they already have that photocopy of your passport because you...

    CEC August 2018 Applicants

I got the PPR email on Feb 21. I sent my passport to Ottawa this past Monday Mar 4. We'll see how long it takes them to return it with my COPR. Both my eligibility and background still say reviewing, I guess they don't update profiles until they send you your COPR, as final decision has been...

    CEC August 2018 Applicants

I just received my PPR email! They got me all confused, they told me on the phone I wouldn't have to submit my passport because they would schedule an interview for me. So, I quickly booked flights to go to my home country before that interview (I leave tomorrow). I'll send them my passport when...

    CEC August 2018 Applicants

I finally got a hold on them. They told me it's all good, my application was actually approved yesterday (weird because they told me days ago that it was already approved) and my case is being transferred to my local CIC office to schedule an interview. She specifically told me that I don't have...

Oh I thought that if they email you to schedule an interview you don't have to send your passport away, you just bring it with you to the interview. Either way it's fine with me
