Hi All i applied for a TRV for parents in July 2021, with biometric done in July as well and have not heard anything new yet. Has there been any recent movement, what timeframe can i expect. ANy advice would be much appreciated.

Yes that is correct. You have to be inland to apply, because on the applications have details you need to fill about when and where you entered canada from. Also perhaps useful to ask for a year visitor record, perhaps also useful in stating that you will applying for the PR once you are in.

thanks. So does the eCOPR link just show up on the portal or do you get an email saying that there is one.

Thanks for the confirmation. How long did it take for you to get the eCOPR ? I had applied for my child and we got the email for confirmation portal 2 days back and we submitted the declaration, address and photograph right away, wondering when we can expect to see an eCOPR for download.

You have to be in Canada when you apply. We have not got PR approval, just the sponsorship approval which came in 23 days. The whole PR process seems to be taking 17 months according to the processing times that are published.

Hi All, so I sponsored my son for a PR(us citizen) and the sponsorship was approved and got an email stating that it has been forwarded to New York. Next step would probably be receiving COPR ? What timeline would that take. Any idea in recent times.

@wego2canada the shipping company took care of the export from the US. I provided them title and registration. Once in canada, i went and claimed the vehicle, and as part of the import process form 1 was provided. After that the other processes of RIV Registration etc.,

I don’t think that is technically legal to work on an H1b while not in the country. Your H1b technically stops when you exit the country. A few weeks out is ok for vacation, extended period may be tricky for future extensions etc.,

i dont think anything is mentioned conclusive. I did the same, and was ok.
