Oh that would be good if they let you do that. I have the two messages they sent me in My CIC so I'd take them with me too. It's weird how none of the messages that come through My CIC mention anything about received the COPR in the mail. They say you'll receive a COPR and info on next steps.

Yeh I just want to know it's been sent and made its flight to YVR! The fact we're both waiting for our COPR suggests they are just stuck in the mail system post Christmas. As long as it arrives before March 31st! - that's my entry deadline.

No not yet. I tried to call CIC on friday but gave up trying. Who did you contact and how? London VO or Call centre in Ottawa? I'll try get a tracking number too. It would be good to keep updating our progress on here. Where in Canada is yours being sent? Vancouver for me.

If you have a valid work visa/permit you can leave and return as you please. If you're on a visitor visa, once you leave it is cancelled and you'll need to qualify to reenter - sufficient funds, convince the officer you'd leave Canada if your PR application was rejected etc. I've personally...

Stupid question time: already living in Canada, will flagpole at US/Canada border, and won't be bringing anything back to Canada, do I have fill in the above forms, or any other forms? Also - when you declare items you're bringing, is that so you aren't taxed on the goods?

Yep I did. I had two messages in MyCIC. One about the conditional PR rules/laws and another about COPR.

I received DM today, and have an entry date no later than 19/03/2017. This date doesn't seem to match anything else. Medical was done on Feb 11 2016, App sent on March 31st and received April 6th. Received DM on 16/12/2017 so it's not even 3 months from DM date.

Thanks Gary! I saw yours had come through. Congrats! We always had a similar timeline. Was it around 2 weeks from yours changing from In Progress to DM? I'm hoping my Background check should be straight forward. Not lived anywhere else but Canada and UK. Never had any issues with police etc...
