SCSquare,
I am saying since you included time spent here visiting while in the US + a Canada address after moving AND (as you explained) your US visa was still active prior to your moving but after you became PR, they probably asked more questions.
The counterexample is: You have a valid US...
SCSqaure,
Do you mean in the Address History section covering past 4 years in your CIT application, you had an initial US address (before you moved and when you had your US visa in the States and lived there and came up sometimes to accumulate days) and then a Canada address after you moved...
poushi24,
Do you feel like they may have unfairly targeted you because of nationality etc ? How can they come running like that after telling you by sending someone while you were starting your car ! that's a bit cruel...
And the reason they are probably not telling people earlier is to control intake. If I gave you a date now for later then ALL (literally ALLLLLLL) those who qualify will rush because they know they quality within that month AFTER which the rules change.
But, if I cleverly put a posting with...
Datascientist,
Any theories on why you think you got an RQ ? especially since you say you just had ONE 3 week visit ? So you basically left Canada just once in the 4 year period covering your CIT application ? Wow....hmm... and RQ ?
hchalz,
Hey wow cool...that also shows that they have internal processes now that in ways perhaps " we cannot see" have improved so that they can be faster assessments more accurately ? something on those lines... My 2 cents.
what do you mean by every information you give to CIC through the phone or mail or whatever is registred on your file.
you mean when you call and formally tell something as an advisory (like travel) or something related that they make notes on your file ? Is that what you mean ?
darn ! I was hoping you might remember what that ONE tricky choice/option among the 5 options was that "seemed correct" but in reality was incorrect ?
OK...it's spring...jog that memory for us :D
desigirl,
any idea on which question you missed ? You should have guessed by now..was it date related ? name related ? can you recall...you sound like you were well prepared..so if you missed this one question...makes me wonder if it was a trick question maybe ?
Recent Oath takers in Ottawa,
Any idea how many people on average take oath during a ceremony ?
In March, Ottawa has 3 Oath Ceremony days with 3 sessions each (Mar 9-11) and now Mar 23 with 2 sessions. So, a total of 11 Oath sessions in March.
Saif1587,
With that effort you are taking, I think you should let the officer know in a harmless gentle way that you wanted to be responsible and decided that you would rather do it this way...they will notice for sure in a good way ( although I know you also are having to spend more...) Hang...
Om saif,
are you saying your friend who is a Govt employee and got the RQ may be being informally / unfairly RQ-ed because of her nationality ? I am surprised and confused why someone like her who has a govt job etc etc would receive a questionnaire..
any logic or explanation why you think...
Under the Bulletins and Manuals, here's the link for Citizenship processing (it is a bit roundabout how you go about finding it)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/cit/grant/adult.asp
Under "Learn more About" click the last tab "Clearances" which will give you this text:
Applicant...
I was not that far ahead in the process in terms of the certificate etc. I wondered if on the day of the test, the officer interviewing a candidate is the same as the officer assigned to that person's file. That's all.
Hi All,
Do you know if the person interviewing you on your test day is the person/citizenship officer assigned to your case ?
I am guessing it is ..or is it ? Or you cannot say confidently that it is true ? Curious to see the feedback.
