Now that I'm getting my surrender certificate tomorrow, I'm about to begin my OCI process. Is there a link to what the step by step process is? I checked the last few pages here and there's a ton of stuff but nothing that lists out what the process is anymore. The front page of this thread...

Got notification from Purolator that they picked up my surrender certificate. My timeline is 18-Apr-2023: Submitted application in person at Vancouver BLS office 19-Apr-2023: Changed to in process at consulate 24-Apr-2023: Changed to 'on the way to BLS' 26-Apr-2023: Picked up by Purolator...

My status shows that the certificate has been printed. What's the next step? Does anyone know when it'll be delivered to me?

When submitting the OCI application, do they keep the canadian passport with them for a visa stamp inside?

Got my passport in the mail today. It got sent yesterday on Mar 29 so a day after the reported mail date. I saw that it was issued on May 23 when they called my guarantor. They asked my guarantor about where I lived, where I'm from, my height, weight, build, where I work, and my birthday. FYI...

I don't think the tracker is doing anything. There's no intermediate status, nothing. I had to call them up and they said that it is still in the printing process. I was told a mail out date of Mar 28 and it's still not done. Canadian government offices are a fucking nightmare

Even though they called my guarantor on Thursday I haven't received my passport yet. Though today is the official mail out date so maybe I'll get it tomorrow.
