    Next Draw today? tomorrow?

LMIA drop is 600-50. Canadian edu increase is +15/30. Even if LMIA candidates are lesser than candidates with canadian education, the LMIA drop should bring down the pool average score by a decent amount. I will be shocked if cutoff goes up; it would need a insanely high number of candidates...

    Next Draw today? tomorrow?

The "I talked to a CIC agent" is such BS lol. Anecdotes !=facts. Reminds me of: "My friend told me..." or "Two of my friends said/did XYZ so it must be true"

Express Entry Step by step instructions.

Hi guys, I searched the forum a lot for newer posts on this but could not find any - what are the realistic processing times for a pcc from BLS Toronto? i got my passport renewed from BLS Toronto last year and did not travel to India since I got my passport renewed. Therefore, I assume the...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

    49th Draw Score Prediction

No idea buddy, but I suppose it should not be an issue? CEC does not ask for you to have a job at the moment, just that you should have at least a year of experience in Canada in those job codes. You should be okay - i mean, you could be on a long vacation or sabbatical from work. On the other...

    49th Draw Score Prediction

With PNP cutoff at 786, candidates with just 186 points got invites. I am very curious to see the effect of LMIA point reduction. That is an insane drop. People who were sitting comfortable at 600-800 points must be terribly upset right now. 600 to a mere 50 is nuts.

    49th Draw Score Prediction

New students graduate at different times a year depending on programs and/or when they complete the mandatory 1 year of work experience. So new ones joining the pool always. To add to add to your point, it will all normalize after 1-2 draws anyway. As I said in another thread, LMIA going from...

    49th Draw Score Prediction

I think it depends on what level of education too. All the foreign students from my post grad school at Uoft (and at York uni and Ryerson from who I know) are sitting at 500-510 if married and 530-540 if single. Of course like you, my evidence is purely anecdotal and exceptional english scores...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

I hope there aren't any technical issues then I fear they wont even meet Dec 14th. Last time I had a harrowing experience with CIC technical issues where they charged me only $155 instead of $255 for a permit and rejected my application for paying only $155, despite me having paid the balance...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

Yeah. that makes sense. Being married is a big factor too as it brings your score down. I would love to see some data and info-graphics around all this, but of course they cannot reveal these as its extremely private information. Best to apply being a twenty something single post grad working...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

Genuinely curious how folks with multiple years of canadian workex and canadian education do not breach 490-500 points. Not trying to be arrogant, but it seems impossible in my eyes, unless you're not getting any points for age and IELTS

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

Sorry, I wasn't clear, I applied for the first time on Dec 3 itself. So my score went up from 518 -> 548. 518 was fairly safe too but I wasn't in a big rush to apply so waited for the rule to come into effect But to my earlier point, with LMIA dropping from 600 to 50 for most jobs, and canadian...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

With Canadian Work ex and Canadian masters education, lot of folks (me included) got our scores way up to 530-540, so average score may rise. But the LMIA folks getting only 50 points now means that it effectively washes out that rise. With Canadian workex+ education, I'd assume most guys...

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

Hah, I know, but i believe 538 was the cutoff in a couple of draws in 2016? Plus as everyone said, on average wouldn't the cutoff rise by 15 points? But then again the LMIA points reducing would wash that out so who knows really. Draw 49 will be interesting.

Ray of Hope - *49th Draw*

Sort of happy with the changes. Worked out better for me since I got 30 points which bumped by 518 to 548. Submitted by application this weekend. Hoping to land an ITA even in the worst case.

Let's share timeline, PGWP March applicant

Hi guys, Thank you for all the help you guys sharing about the PGWP+TRV process I had some questions about the TRV; 1. In the form IMM5257E in the "Details of Visit" section, what did you select under 'Purpose of Visit'? Do we select 'Returning Worker'? 2. How long you plan to stay should...

Let's share timeline, PGWP March applicant

Hi guys, I applied for a Post Graduate Work Permit on May 16, 2015. At the time, there was a technical error at the CIC wherein they charged me only $155 instead of $255. On Dec 5, 2015, I get a message from the CIC stating that please pay the balance $100 and upload the receipt on my online...
