I totally agree with both of you. I find it super irritating that because of where in Canada we live it takes months longer than elsewhere. I’m just trying to say you shouldn’t stress over it if you have DM as everything is good, it’s just a slow formality.

They don’t reply on that mail unless they requested something. I spoke with them 2 weeks ago and they confirmed my application was all approved and said it can be up to 90 days to hear from Vancouver about a landing appointment. It’s just a waiting game. If you have DM on both sides of ECAS...

There is always a small risk you may be denied entry by CBSA but as a citizen of a visa exempt country and holder of an OWP and already approved for PR the chance of being denied is very low. I’ve done it many times (I travel Vancouver-Seattle often for work) and never had a problem.

1-3 months before they contact you with an appointment date. I believe the gap between being contacted and the actual appointment is usually very small though.

I assumed they would be applying inland for the OWP but I realize the OP didn’t actually mention that. You do have to cohabit for that right?

For marriage you only need to prove you are cohabiting right now. Showing some history is good but the 1 year requirement doesn’t exist.
