Our application was delivered early August 2020, they started processing it August 2021, and we never got AOR. Our pr application was approved yesterday.

I couldn't link it to my own account as a dependent, I was only able to link my husband's application (principal applicant) to his account.

when you enter your information, enter the number of applicants as 1 then it should link. That worked for me.

I would recommend writing them from time to time to remind about yourself. We were a bit frustrated from waiting for more than one year without even AOR. We wrote and told them we were worried. Although they just sent a generic answer I believe they started processing our case after that.
