I do not believe the system is overwhelmed and number of applications is almost the same, even less people applying. It is the way they are prioritizing applications and the fact that background check is taking longer for some applicants. In reality, applications are not processed in queue they...

I do not understand why it is taking so long for some applicants to get eligibility review passed (AIP). Maybe IRCC have system in place to prioritize some applications over others.

Last time I called IRCC, they said 20 months is total processing time including AIP and stage 2. Did you apply on paper?

Hi, I am also waiting for decision on my second application (submitted June this year). My first application showed up in ECAS once I received AOR, but I could not track my second application in ECAS even though two applications are paper based. I will request GCMS notes in the coming days.

Why you did not file order of mandamus?. Is your file labelled as non routine/complex application?

I do not believe your 30 months processing time. Either you are in Quebec or you applied from outside of Canada.

ECAS updated today to in-process. I guess automated phone service was right when it says we are processing your background and reviewing your eligibility.

That is a long time. I applied in February and I feel there is a delay because still not in process in ECAS. I ordered GCMS notes and waiting for them.
