Can my spouse sponsor both his parents and my own parents at the same time

I am not sure where canuck and naturgrl come up with 8 and 4 people for LICO. Each spouse has 2 parents, thus the total number of people to qualify for LICO is 6 people. 1 spouse and has two parents and the other spouse has 2 people, totally 6 people for LICO assuming no children.

APRIL 2020 - INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

We are still waiting for the PR card as well. Next week is the supposedly timeline that my sister in law will get her PR card. Hopefully it will come on time. We will have to see next week. When dropped the timeline down to 67 days, I was hoping the card will arrive sooner than later.

Travelling out of Canada as a PR when Spousal Application is in Process.

As a PR yourself, you cannot leave Canada for extended time during PR processing for 4-5 months. You can leave for 2-3 weeks but definitely not 4-5 months, It doesn't matter if your application is approved and got PPR. You cannot leave Canada until your spouse lands as PR. If you do go ahead and...

Leave Canada before start of application processing

You should be okay to leave for 2-3 weeks outside Canada. Going beyond that, you will have to decide if it is worth the risk along with the risk of being denied re-entry due to unforeseen circumstances (changes to covid pandemic travel rules for example)

APRIL 2020 - INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

I noticed that the new PR card processing time as dropped down to 67 days dropped down from over 4 months time. So it's good news. So it means that we could be getting our PR card in the mail at any moment.

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

OP is PR. The OP wanted to leave Canada during PR sponsorship, As a PR, he/she must remain in Canada during PR sponsorship, regardless if he/she applied inland or outland sponsorship. So OP cannot leave for 3-6 months or more. That is in itself a violation of PR sponsorship for PR sponsors.

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

Canadian sponsors are still expected to stay and remain in Canada for inland sponsorship. They cannot treat it as an outland PR application if they choose to stay outside Canada while waiting for PR. IRCC does not need proof of return to Canada for inland sponsorship. If IRCC determines that the...

Leaving Canada Temporarily while spouse's PR (outland) is in progress Sponser being PR and sponsorship eligibility is Approved

I am willing to do the same but I know for a fact that I won't get sued because I don't give out advice contrary to the PR/Canadian PR rules of PR sponsorship.

Does India still have a high number of marriages of convenience?

I agree that it was never your intention paint everyone with a broad brush. With today's politically correctness going on, you will never get "meaningful adult conversation" any more without someone getting easily offended. There is no middle ground. It is pretty much, "If you have a difference...

Does India still have a high number of marriages of convenience?

It is a loaded question to ask on this forum. While marriage of convenience does exist, your focus on India as part of the question is placing an unfair / lens on India, brushing all Indians as potential fraudsters for marriage of convenience. IRCC decides who are committing marriage fraud or...

    Second Marriage Sponsorship

As mentioned by canuck78, did you at least reported your husband to IRCC that you were a victim of marriage of convenience shortly after his landing?

Spouse has valid study permit, but can we apply for work permit at same time

Unfortunately, you cannot hold two different visas at same time. You have to decide which visa you want your spouse to have, Since she currently have a study visa, she can continue her studies but once the OWP has been approved, she has to quit her studies as the OWP doesn't permit her to...

APRIL 2020 - INLAND Spousal Sponsorship

FYI: I didn't realize you can link your application online to track your first PR card after landing. I tried to check if I could link my sister-in-law's PR card status and I was able to.

    Applying for SIN immediately? (inland)

What I would suggest to you is open a new account at either one of the 3 banks. Once you get a SIN, you can then decide to open an account at your preferred bank since you have a SIN to open an account. You then can close the original bank account. In my case, my sister-in-law switched to her...

    Applying for SIN immediately? (inland)

As far as I know, I may be wrong on this, you will need an OWP first in order to get a temporary SIN which starts with number 9. Some banks do not require a SIN number in order to open a bank account. My sister-in-law was able to open a bank account at TD bank without a SIN number. She had a...

Invite a sibling aged between 18-22

Also add to scylla's note: The sibling must not only be married or common law at the time IRCC received the application. The sibling cannot get married or obtained common law status until after the parents/sibling landed as PR. Otherwise the sibling disqualified him/herself for PR under PGP.
