A ghost update is when you log into your tracker and see that it says it's been updated (new date in the corner), but nothing appears to have changed. It usually indicates that some information in your file has been updated on IRCC's end, but they have not pushed anything through to your end...

Another ghost update today (March 7)! Literally just dropped. Hopefully it's that they've received my fingerprints and are completing my background check.

I don't, actually! I think they requested fingerprints because I never had to give them when I applied for PR, so I have no biometrics in their system at all.

Well, I went and gave my fingerprints on Saturday... here's hoping I haven't accidentally gotten myself a record somehow. :oops:

I got this email today as well. I received the AOR email with my case number on Jan 30th and was able to start tracking my account on Feb 1st. I'm not sure why they send the second one out so late, especially when the AOR email contains information on how to do this, anyway. :)

There are only a select few people (maybe just one?) who have access-- you will have to wait for them to update the tracker sheet.

I think your idea with the list and receipts is a good approach, as that is what they would ask for if you need to declare them. You can be upfront with the officer(s) and just ask. They can help you fill out any declaration forms if needed. Depending on how much stuff it is, you may be fine...

1 - As SaraRahul said, you can show that it was included on a list that was already stamped. 2 - I didn't do this myself but I've seen others say they had to give a copy (not the original) to the shipping company. Probably best to find someone who has done it. :)
