Medical Expired - No request from IRCC for redoing nor extended expiration - March SDS application - Anyone with same situation

You'll definitely get an extension and from what I've seen the extension is usually anywhere from 6 months up till a year, hopefully that's enough time to plan your move, otherwise you might want look into doing a soft landing. Do you mind sharing your journey on the Outlander PPR thread? It's...

Medical Expired - No request from IRCC for redoing nor extended expiration - March SDS application - Anyone with same situation

First all congrats! Secondly, your medicals already expired because it's already been more than a year since you did them. However, since you got PPR it means they've already extended them and so your COPR should be valid until sometime in 2022. Do you mind sharing your stream and timeline?

We're just as interested in moving to Canada as we've always been regardless of what you suggest and pretty much anything IRCC tosses up. At worst, you're trying to discourage people from moving, hard to do when all you have is words to dissuade folks who have put in time and effort and...

I'm outland. I haven't heard anything too since February which is when I believe my eligibility was passed

Yeah, the ones who seem to have some work done on their apps are early January and prior. I was lucky to fall in that group. I didn't order GCMS notes yet but I got a request to pay RPRF so I took that to mean eligibility had been passed

All previous speculations and opinions on processing times have been rendered useless. However, I did notice, from folks who ordered GCMS notes, that many applications haven't been touched for the most part of this year, so you're not alone if that provides any comfort. Is your AOR mid to late...

I'm hoping they extend mine but any activity means a lot. Looks like PPR isn't far for you anymore

I have same AOR as you, but my medicals are expiring today. How long did it take to show up in your profile once your medicals expired?

Waiting truly isn't a problem, it's the indefiniteness of it that's killing. Plus, like you said, everything seems to be getting back to normal everywhere. I wish I could use the IRCC as a pause/excuse button on life. I know once things get moving again most of us will get over these dark days...

On a slight tangent, when do you think we can start applying to jobs in Canada? I'm FSW-O, Jan 2021 AOR. It would be nice to have an offer in hand before landing, if that's possible.

I've read that some applicants only got an email and noticed absolutely no changes in their profile. It looks like you have to find a way to get notified via email yourself just to be safe.

From what I've read around here, you can expect to either get a request to do your medicals again or they can get their validity extended. Once your profile says "you passed the medical exam" again, it's usually a good sign. Hopefully you get that update soon!

That's because your medicals expire 1 year after you had the exam and not 1 year from when you passed the exam
