Wow, this is interesting so the agent said its under examination and passports showed up in a week, I wonder if your MP calling in helped with the file transfer and the agent didn't see any status change, does it show where the passports were printed/issued? Is it Ottawa or your local office?

Did you enter any travel dates on the form? I wonder if that had a influence on fast processing of your application.

I called agent on Friday and she told me that even though the applications are submitted in person at Service Canada location they are still considered "mailed-in" since they send those applications to the processing centers by mail.

Anyone received passport in the last couple of weeks who applied for new passport in person at Service Canada in April of this year?

That is the plan :) , since my citizenship also took about 30 months I have developed a thick skin for these kind of bureaucratic waits

What is the general current trend for OCI's timelines? Is it fair to say that 2 months is enough time to get your OCI?

so 21st March till 10th June, approx. 55 working days, I also called the passport Canada yesterday and after 2 hour 20 minutes on phone the person told me that realistically I will get my passports by mid of July since I applied on 27th April so no point of calling them before.
