@profiler, I have one last question. Someone had mentioned on the forum that the OWP program will be removed by the end of the year. Do you think I should apply right now, or wait till 30 days before expiry?

He probably did link your application, but only he will have access to it. If you read CIC's terms when linking only one person can link the account online, whether sponsor, principal applicant or a representative. So more than likely he has already linked your account. You should really check...

I linked mine when CIC sent the AOR email. They had given instructions to get it done within a certain time period (7 days I think). Are you using a lawyer by any chance?

Not sure who said it take 10-12 weeks, mine took 5-6 weeks. Some people have gotten theirs even faster. Apply for it and in the meantime all the paperwork together and once it comes add it to the package.

CIC will send you an email with instructions on how to proceed. Wait for it.

Hi, you as the sponsor can also create and account with CIC. On CIC's website it states that either one can create it.

It is CIC's weird online portal. Even though it was a paper submission, you are linking it online which shows it as an "online" application. Remember it isn't a perfect system...
