I counted 1,488 applicants in the Tabingo group. Maybe the rest are in the Emam group. Or maybe "3,000" came from an unreliable source.

What is also strange is that riponmaki applied in 2006 at Manila VO, and started being actively processed around July 2012. AFAIK, Manila VO is processing Apr or May 2005 AOR at the latest. Very, very odd timeline, but if he reached PPR, then refusal to issue the visa on grounds of C38 could...

This does deserve an explanation. For the few months prior to the availability of Mr. Garg's court number, at least one person in another forum had been insisting that Mr. Garg was not a litigant and had a different agenda (allegedly a percentage of the fees) from the rest of the litigants. I...

"In Process" until a few days ago, then it became blank (didn't pass through "Decision Made"). But a check of the source code while it was blank showed that the link for the status ("Processing started on..." page) was still there, just no characters to click on. Yesterday I also started...

Based on what the lawyers have stated in their updates, the hearings could not have been scheduled for January if the cases were certified as class action. So the current test case scenario already runs faster than class action.

Update from Tim: 1. Justice Rennie, who will be presiding over the hearing in January, allocated time to both sides to make their arguments and canvassed counsel as to which arguments they intended to raise and how long they expected to speak. For our group, he told me that I could only argue...

    1. You need to check with the lawyer you are planning to file with if he/she will still accept your case. Tim Leahy has stated that he will be accepting cases until January 8. I would also like to remind you that the owner of this website and this forum is David Cohen, one of the litigating...

The problem with Kenney saying that applicants are waiting 8 years to be processed, is that he is the one who made it that long. If the instructions in MI5 (pause on FSW) were made in 2008, the backlog could have disappeared by now, and he could have started with the EOI system too.

The 31 qualified litigants is the last update I got. Probably no other updates because the next sked for the Waldman group is in November. No updates in the LinkedIn discussions as well, the latest being instructions from Tim on how to request for CAIPS, posted 4 days ago.

If Justice Barnes cannot be persuaded to force CIC to abide by the agreement, but will allow individual hearings on the merits of each case, CAIPS will show that CIC is the cause of delay for FSW-SAP applicants (where CIC would be allowed to delay processing if it is the fault of the applicant...

It is impossible for CIC to speed up processing even if they had twice or thrice the visa officers involved. That's because CIC sets targets for each program per visa office per year, which is the upper limit that they will process. What they could have done, instead, was to even out the...
